Human Parts Regrowth

August 2026

Recently (2007) it has been discovered that specialised, intact, cells can be reversed in specialisation and turned back into a new kind of specialist cell. I wonder if in the future we'll be able to regrow body parts from other intact cells in a person's body, for which these body parts will be almost identical replicas of the original ones.

The implications of such a thing would be absolutely incredible. People who've lost limbs or were born without them could get them back. Blind or near-blind people could recover their vision.

To call such possibilities life altering would be an understatement. Imagine being blind, and then suddenly, boom, you are able to see - a new world is unlocked. In such a case, it would be plausible to say that you have given somebody new life, not just changed their existing life.
